Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG):is the global pan-industrial and law enforcement association focused on eliminating the fraud and identity theft that result from phishing,pharming and email spoofing of all types.
Fake online banking URL (see phishing):this is where a scammer e.g sends you an email asking you to update your personal records, claiming to be from your bank. The email will contain a fake URL which will take you to a fake login page. Never click on a link that claims to be from your bank!
Google Safe Browsing:The Safe Browsing API is an experimental API that enables client applications to check URLs against Google's constantly updated blacklists of suspected phishing and malware pages.
Keyloggers - online banking:logs the keystrokes of the victim which lets the attacker search for passwords or other sensitive data in the log file. This approach is often used in phishing emails to collect personal information to access a customers online bank account.
Pharming - online banking:Involves Trojans programs, worms, or other virus technologies that attack the Internet browser address bar and is much more sophisticated than phishing.
Phishing (see Spoof E-mails):The act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. See Online Banking for further reference.
Phishing Online Banking:This is where a scammer sends you an email which looks like it has come from your bank. The email will ask you to provide your card number/personal ID, passcode or registration number. Banks never ask for this information by email.
