A banking security company has identified a new malware (MITB) that uses your debit card information and then covers its tracks in your online statement with “post transaction attacks”. These ‘post transactions’ are designed to conceal malicious activity for as along as possible, so that the transaction can be processed without interruption. SpyEye hasn’t gone away either. It’s also been reported that some US and UK banks were attacked over the holiday season by manipulating the banking transaction webpage the customer sees (iFrame/XSS attacks spring to mind).
