Microsoft have released today (13th October) a mega patch for Windows OS. The update includes 13 bulletins that tackle 34 vulnerabilities. The next largest update was in June of this year (2009). That release contained 10 fixes for 31 vulnerabilities.

Microsoft has indicated that eight of the current bulletins are rated as critical. One critical update will solve a flaw in Internet Explorer 8 running under Windows 7, the next version of Microsoft’s operating system.
