The blog website Neowin.net claims that a high number of Hotmail accounts (only if your email address begins with A or B) have been hacked or had their details collected from phishing websites. The website at the center of the ‘Hotmail hack’ is pastebin.com a website commonly used by developers to share code. The hotmail data has now been removed from the site. Microsoft has also been contacted and has confirmed that the accounts are genuine and that most of those affected are based in Europe. The list includes Microsoft’s Windows Live Hotmail accounts with email addresses ending hotmail.com, msn.com and live.com. ID Theft Protect suggests that all users of Windows Live Hotmail should change their password and security question immediately. Always use different passwords for different websites. NEVER use the same one for 'MANY' websites. You have been warned!
